Have you ever wondered why I have you walk around after we've completed a technique or why I always recommend taking a 10-15 minute walk after your session?
Walking enhances and extends the results of your treatment.
Helps to re-establish balance in the body: The techniques I use are designed to release and unwind fascial tension, distortion patterns, and adhesions that are holding or moving your body. As the fascia is released, muscles, tendons, ligaments, and even bones can be released and repositioned back into alignment. Walking helps to re-establish balance and reinforce proper movement patterns in your body that we just created in our session.
Increases blood flow and oxygenation: Walking increases blood flow and oxygen delivery to the muscles and tissues that were worked on during your session, which can help to reduce soreness and promote healing.
Enhances lymphatic drainage: Walking encourages lymphatic drainage, which helps to remove waste and toxins from the body and reduce inflammation.
Settles the nervous system: Walking after your session helps shift you out of the "act and react" to the "rest and digest" parts of your nervous system. This in turn promotes the release of endorphins which are natural pain killers and mood boosters.
