Your first Rossiter experience!
Zone Technique body system balance
Wear comfortable workout clothes that you can move in as you will be getting down and up off the floor during your session.
Be prepared to take a 10-15 minute walk after your session is completed.
Most people feel relief after their first session which can last for days, weeks or even months.
Long-standing chronic pain may take longer for the body to return to a normal, natural pain-free state.
The Rossiter techniques use the weight of the practitioner’s foot along with your active movement to loosen and lengthen the entire network of tissue to its natural state and relieve the pain. When your practitioner adds weight with their foot, it will be and should be tolerably intense.
You are the Person In Charge (PIC) during your Rossiter session.
Be fully present and involved during your session.
Breathe!
Tell your practitioner if the weight is too intense.
Perform each exercise at a moderate pace to the best of your ability.
Notice how your nervous system responds, what you are feeling, and how you are reacting.
Notice what has changed: sensations, textures, range of motion, movement patterns, etc.
You are in a safe place to make noise, release emotion, swear, and be vulnerable.
If you feel a sharp, electrical, numb or zingy sensation, this may mean a nerve is getting compressed. Say STOP.
After Rossiter you may notice:
LIGHT FEELING - We have improved your circulatory and lymph flow, and created more space in your connective tissue. This light, "floaty" sensation is what healthy tissue feels like.
BUZZY FEELING - A ‘switched on’ feeling may be common. We changed your nervous system patterns, movement patterns, and postural alignment. Your body is just processing this new information.
SORENESS - We have created so much change in your tension patterns, increased mobility, restored space and alignment. Your body may react like you did a heavy weight workout. Be well hydrated and keep moving, and your body will recover quickly.
SLEEPY - You may feel a little "Rossiter drunk" or sleepy after your session. This is a good sign that your nervous system is ready to let go of the patterns and programs that it has been running. Take a short nap to allow your system to re-boot.
